The Department of ICT offers a diverse range of supportive modules at the Certificate and Diploma levels: · IT for Land Managers. · Introduction to Computing. Very soon the Department is going to start offering the following short course: · Computer Repair & Maintenance. · Computer Applications. Explore the exciting world of technology and gain the skills needed for a successful career in the fast-paced IT industry. Our Department actively seeks collaborations and partnerships with industry professionals, enabling students to participate in internships, cooperative education programs, and industry projects. This integration of academia and industry enhances students’ practical experience and facilitates their transition into the professional world. In today’s dot-com era, Computer Literacy has become a necessity for every Ugandan. The Department of Information & Communication Technology plays a pivotal role in imparting Computer knowledge and skills to students and the wider community. Recognizing the significance of Digital competence, Computing have been integrated as a supportive module in all programs offered at ISLM. At present, the Department boasts two state-of-the-art Computer Labs, equipped with a total of 65 Computers that are fully networked and connected to the internet. These advanced facilities provide an optimal learning environment for students, enabling them to acquire essential Computer Skills and stay connected in an increasingly interconnected world. The Department has two Lecturers and one technician who are competent.
